This is the debut album CD by the legendary UK experimental post-punk band This Heat. Although the cover is labeled “This Is 1”, the content is their self-titled first album “This Heat”, originally released in 1979. Known for their radical use of noise, tape manipulation, and improvisation, This Heat became highly influential on post-rock and avant-garde music. This copy is the 2006 WarnerChappell / BlackHill remastered edition, long out of print and increasingly hard to find. A must-have for collectors and fans of experimental music.
